PM Modi had told his close associates in January-February this year to keep an eye on the rapid growth of Kovid-19 in Europe and East Asia. When it became clear that the virus would spread further, PM Modi included all stakeholders including ministries and teams from NITI Aayog to My Gov. So that a system can be discussed that can help keep people healthy. Sources reveal that PM Modi himself kept reading news, articles, posts on social media of top policy experts every day. He was investigating all the news reports which paid special attention to various government departments, local bodies and privately developed technologies.
* A Kovid-19 Samadhan Challenge competition was launched on My Gov so that the best talent of non-government can be used to fight this epidemic.
* In March, a Watts app chatboat was launched on My gov itself which could give correct information about Kovid-19. At the same time, the World Health Organization also started a similar system.
* PM Modi himself has finalized the construction of the Arogya Setu app by monitoring it one day and has constantly told the creators of how to make it more effective and ensure the privacy of the people.
After all these monitoring, the Arogya App was launched. An app that not only helps track corona victims but also tells users how close they are to a corona victim. Developed by the Indian government's IT ministry, users using this app can find out if they have signs of corona or not. The best thing about this app is that it has the Corona helpline number of every state, which is proving useful for the common man.
A few days ago, PM Modi held a meeting with his 15 top ministers, CDS, Principal Scientific Advisor and other senior people and brainstormed on how to make Arogya Setu popular across the country. Along with many ministers, he also spoke on the phone to personally communicate with the people of his area to ensure that all the Arogya apps are downloaded. Even in the group meeting of the cabinet, PM Modi instructed all the ministers that he and his ministry should play a more active role so that more and more people start working on the Arogya app.
PM Modi himself tweeted on 8 April and appealed to the people of the country to download Arogya Setu on their mobile phones. PM knows that the more number of people downloading it, the more effective this health app will be.
